Appearance/Coverage Counsel

Catherine is currently focused on providing high quality appearance and contract work for other attorneys. For this work, Catherine primarily works plaintiff’s side civil litigation, real estate transactions, and workers’ compensation defense.

General Civil Litigation

This area covers most rights and claims that can be pursued through South Carolina Circuit Court between private parties. Examples include: contract disputes, debt collections, and insurance subrogation.

Debt Collection

This area includes pursuing outstanding debts such as credit card debt, loans, insurance premiums, and post judgment collections for civil court judgments. Additionally, responding to counter-claims by debtors in this actions.

Insurance Subrogation

This area is typically when an insurance company is pursuing a debt or claim on behalf of their insured. These actions may be against another carrier and/or individuals.

Workers’ Compensation Defense

This area includes representing insurance carriers and their insureds in Workers’ Compensation proceedings.

real estate transactions

This area is strictly on a contract basis with other law firms to conduct real estate closings.
